As a career law enforcement officer, Dave Anderson discovered he has a knack for investigation and a strong desire for justice.
After high school Dave chose service in the United States Marine Corps over a college football scholarship, proudly serving four years in Southeast Asia. He entered the Indiana State Police Academy, graduating in 1967.
Assigned as an ISP Trooper in Southern Indiana, Dave’s native curiosity and persistence led him to seek additional training in uncovering criminal activity, from psychology and surveillance, to interview techniques, to expert courtroom testimony.
He completed courses from Indiana University, Northwestern University/Reid College, U.S. Customs, Drug Enforcement Administration, Federal Bureau of Investigations, National Intelligence Academy, and the Indianapolis Police Dept.
Dave was elected Sheriff of Brown County in 1990 and served 8 years, working hard to establish professional standards and good investigative techniques. In 1999 he founded Anderson Insurance, an independent insurance agency. His son Chris currently manages the company...and Dave has returned to the thing he does best....investigations.
